"If you look at what you have in your life, you'll always have more.  If you look at what you don't have in life, you'll never have enough" - Oprah Winfrey

Your mindset influences how you see yourself and those around you.  It's what enforces you to take a certain action or not. The various types of mindsets can mean different things to each individual, regarding how and why you think like you do.

What kind of mindset do you have?

The number of mindsets that exist is determined by how much you generalize them. Finding your type of mindset is key to understanding the one that influences how you operate in every single area of your life.  The two main types of mindsets are growth and fixed mindsets, each one has their advantages and disadvantages.

If you have a fixed mindset, you tend to believe that your qualities and/or skills cannot be changed.  You have a strict belief about many things inlcuding your character, your personality and your intelligence level.  People with a fixed mindset tend to limit themselves and are focused on proving themselves to others.

Some sub-mindsets are:

  • Angry mindset
  • Fear mindset
  • Envy mindset
  • Short-term mindset
  • Lazy mindset
  • Follower mindset
  • Greed Mindset

Characteristics include:

  • Lazy habits
  • Limited initiative to achieve
  • Come across in a negative way
  • Blaming others for things that are wrong
  • Relying on addictions
  • Self-absorbed, with little thought of others
  • Obsessed with what others are, do or say
  • Insatiable and always want more

If you have a growth mindset you believe you have a basic set of qualities that can be developed and cultivated through your strategies, efforts and help from others.

Some sub-mindsets include:

  • Business mindset
  • Dreamer mindset
  • Creative mindset
  • Gratitude mindset
  • Social mindset
  • Confident mindset

Characteristics include:

  • Feel gratitude for what you have
  • Embrace challenges
  • Learn from failures
  • Willing to help others
  • Think big and know what you want
  • Solve problems
  • Dedication to grow and achieve
  • Eager to learn
  • Able to change and develop skills

Which one is the basis of your actions and thoughts?  Do you believe you can change and that things can be different for you? Or do you believe that you cannot change and that you are just this way.  Guess what?  You can change your mindset to one of growth and abundance.
