"The key to abundance is to stop needing more, and to start appreciating what you already have" - Anonymous

How to you know when it's time to change your mindset?  After all, you've been thinking the same way for as long as you can remember.  Or maybe you've had a rough patch and you feel out of control.  When you start having more negative days than positive ones, it's time to change your mindset. If you have a negative attitude, your thoughts start thinking the worst.  However, if you have positive thoughts, you will create a better environment for yourself and those around you.

Here are 6 signs it's time to change your mindset:

1) You're always focused on failure instead of succeeding.  You feel dissapointed and angry over every failure without celebrating your succes.  You always see yourself as a failure, unconsciously sending negative messages to your mind saying that you will always fail no matter how hard you try.

Keep a success diary acknowledging every success every day, no matter how small.

2) You have a victim mentality.  You've been hurt by others you love or been a victim of bad experiences. Or you were traumatized from some event.  You're still holding onto those moments.

Forgive and let go of the past.

3) You have social media envy.  Seeing the unnatural glamorous lifestyles of other people online makes you feel worse about yourself.  You focus on what you don't have or aren't doing.  You devalue what you have.

Think about what you have and show gratitude for it.

4) You see work as a burden.  You don't want to go to work and you complain about doing the job.

View your job as a means of providing value to others.

5) You obsess about things you can't change or control, for example you complain about the weather, traffic, the government and other people.  Your mind is filled with everything you don't like instead of what you can control which is yourself.

To make the experience more positive, identify how you can control and change your own actions and thoughts

6) You lack gratitude for what you have.  You focus on the flaws of yourself and others or on what is wrong with the world.

Focus on identifying the positive things you are grateful for every day and acknowledge that nobody is perfect and that everyone learns lessons as they go.

When you recognize that the reason you hardly feel happy and fulfilled is because of a negative mindset, you know it's time to change your mindset to feel better about yourself and attract more abundance into your life.
